Mohamed Eyad Al-Ladaa was a young Palestinian video editor working for Al-Quds Today TV in Gaza. At the age of 23, he was engaged in media work during the ongoing war and was part of a five-person Al-Quds Today team operating around Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat refugee camp. In the early morning of December 26, 2024, Mohamed and his colleagues were inside their broadcasting vehicle when it was struck by an Israeli airstrike. The vehicle was reportedly clearly marked as a press vehicle, with “PRESS” displayed on it. The attack killed Mohamed along with Fadi Hassouna, Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali, Faisal Abu Al-Qumsan and Ayman Al-Gedi. Palestinian officials and journalist-protection organizations condemned the killings. The Israeli military subsequently confirmed the strike and alleged that the five victims were Islamic Jihad operatives. In Mohamed's case, the IDF alleged that he had been involved in the organization's “combat propaganda.” Al-Quds Today, however, identified him as one of its staff members and the Palestinian account described him as a member of the channel's media team.
